David Boies (b. 1941) is an American trial lawyer and chairman of Boies Schiller Flexner LLP. He rose to national prominence representing the U.S. government in United States v. Microsoft, Al Gore in Bush v. Gore (2000), and advocating for marriage equality.

In the Epstein case, Boies's firm represented Virginia Giuffre in her 2015 defamation lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell, which unsealed thousands of pages of documents exposing Epstein's network.

His firm also filed a civil lawsuit on behalf of Giuffre against Prince Andrew in August 2021, which settled in February 2022. Boies represented five victims in the Epstein Victims' Compensation Program, which paid out over $121 million to approximately 150 survivors.

However, Boies's reputation was damaged when it was revealed his firm had represented Harvey Weinstein and hired private investigators who allegedly used intimidation tactics against journalists and accusers.

Additionally, Epstein survivor Sarah Ransom has accused Boies and the following attorneys of mishandling her case: Sigrid McCawley, Andrew Villacastin, Sabina Mariella, Danny Crispino, Alexander Law, Virginia Su, Thomas McCawley, Josh Kolb, and Olivia McKenzie.
