Theodore John Leonsis (born January 8, 1957) is an American businessman and former senior executive at America Online (AOL).
He is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which owns the NHL's Washington Capitals, the NBA's Washington Wizards, the WNBA's Washington Mystics, and Monumental Sports Network.
An article from TrueHoop notes that Leonsis was associated with John Brockman's Edge organization, literary events that were later found to have been financed by Jeffrey Epstein.
Leonsis owns the Wizards through Monumental Sports and Entertainment. Steve Jobs’ ex-wife Laurene Powell Jobs bought a stake in Monumental in 2017 and sold it in 2025. One of the richest people on the planet, she appears to have her own connections to Ghislaine Maxwell.

They are always flights of horror whether it's with Jeffrey, Mr. Leonsis, Mr. Case, Mr. Snyder, the Gregorys, Mr. Colgan or one being borrowed by a seemingly good federal worker and even rented, it is all horror. And nothing is as it seems, I am so confused by everything and people you expect to be good like even Senators like George Mitchell who you think will be like a grandpa are bad. Mr. Kimsey is deranged. The answer is C. Crazy! It all is.
