Ehud Barak (born February 12, 1942) is an Israeli former military leader and politician who served as the tenth Prime Minister of Israel (1999–2001) and Minister of Defense (2007–2013). Prior to his political career, Barak was the most decorated soldier in Israeli history.

Barak's connection to Jeffrey Epstein began after Epstein's 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor. Despite Epstein's criminal record, Barak maintained an extensive social and business relationship with him between 2013 and 2019. May 2023 reporting based on thousands of pages of Epstein's emails and schedules from 2013 to 2017 revealed that Barak was a "regular guest" who had at least three dozen scheduled meetings with Epstein during this period, with appointments every month for 11 consecutive months beginning in 2013.

Barak has acknowledged visiting Epstein's Manhattan townhouse and Little St. James. In January 2016, he was photographed entering Epstein's Manhattan residence with his face partially hidden. In 2015, Epstein partially funded Barak's investment in Reporty (later renamed Carbyne), an emergency-tech startup. According to Haaretz, Epstein routed money into Barak's limited partnership vehicle to facilitate the investment.

Virginia Giuffre identified Ehud Barak in sealed deposition testimony as one of the men to whom she was trafficked as a teenager. In October 2025, Giuffre's posthumous memoir Nobody's Girl describes being sexually assaulted by a "well-known prime minister," a reference multiple news outlets reported most likely refers to Barak.

Barak was not only accused of violent rape by one of Epstein’s most public victims, Virginia Giuffre—according to her memoir and court filings—he also used his connection to Epstein for backroom political maneuvers. The recently leaked trove of emails shows Barak leaning on Epstein copiously for gossip from Russian and European elites, hints from former American security chiefs, and guidance on when to approach the head of Mossad.

In the first week of June of 2013, Barak traveled to New York to visit Epstein and attend former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger’s 90th birthday party. Following his meeting with Barak, Epstein made an impromptu five-day trip to Africa; two weeks later, Barak received an invitation to speak at a conference for senior leadership of the Nigerian military and representatives from the country’s banking, oil & gas, and manufacturing sectors.
